A literal example of what's ticking in my brain.

I have produced this moving image using stills from my research journal, based on the most recent project I've been immersed within.

The concept is based around Spring Summer 2012 fashion trends and the 1990's, taking masses of inspiration from Jeremy Scott and the classic 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' . This video expresses some of the looks I considered.

In September 2011, I worked as an intern for two weeks with the fashion department for German Cosmopolitan magazine.

 On my own. In Munich. A daunting experience.

The team were awesome and I had the most amazing experience. 

I am so happy to have received this issue in the post from Celine  - sweetest woman - to find this article 'Bootcamp' I contributed a little bit of 'me' to. Finding and confirming the Credits for these shoes in this article - yes. small & insignificant maybe - It's exciting to see some of the work I did in the Munich offices, in my hands, in front of me, in my Chiswick home.

This story was initially inspired by the track Do You Mind (Kyla cover) by The xx.

My own interpretation lead to a story based on the idea of, the morning after the night before. The haziness and out of focus images that begin the series are deliberate. This was to create the vision 'one' experiences when first waking up, unclear and slightly disorientated. The third image reflects on the pensive thought provoking emotions the track leads to 'ones' experiences. Following with the garments worn on the night before, reminiscent of what some may say the 'Walk of Shame'.

Shoot on a compact digital camera, I wanted to concentrate and enhance the textures and finer details of the architecture, objects and landscape within the images.
